Louisiana Piano Teachers

Holly Rollosson

holly_custom.jpgHolly Rollosson recently moved to New Orleans from Seattle, where she has enjoyed teaching piano for many years. She’s been delighted to find many things to fall in love with in this charming and irreplaceable city.

Holly has a passion for people that is contagious, and a true flair for making music enjoyable. She provides one-on-one piano lessons to students of all ages, and enjoys teaching children, teens, adults, and senior citizens alike. She believes in guiding students’ musical education in a positive and fun environment, and specializes in gearing the teaching method and music selection to the particular student’s learning style and tastes. She also understands the importance of regularly communicating with parents to help them understand their child’s musical needs, and coaches them on how to assist in their child’s musical growth. Her fervent belief is that with the involvement and encouragement of teacher and parent, a child’s (or adult’s!) life can be immeasurably enriched by learning to play music they love, and gaining a skill they will enjoy for the rest of their life.

Holly has been a self-employed piano instructor for 13 years in the Seattle area. She also recently spent several years teaching at Beverly Park Music Academy, a nonprofit institute that focused on group piano classes on digital keyboards.  She has served as a pianist and keyboardist for her church for 14 years, and receives a great amount of joy from sacred music and from training other church musicians.

Holly is happy to provide a free consultation to anyone who is interested in exploring the possibility of music lessons for themselves or their child.
