
Siyuan Li was born in Guangzhou, China and began her study of the piano when just four years old. At the age of fourteen, she was admitted to the Central Conservatory in Beijing. During her four years in the Conservatory, she won the “Award for Excellence” twice. Siyuan was admitted to Oberlin College Conservatory for her Bachelor’s degree in piano performance with Monique Duphil and the University of Michigan for her Master’s degree in piano performance with Arthur Greene. Siyuan performed as a soloist with the Chautauqua Music Festival Orchestra, the Oberlin Orchestra and the University Symphony Orchestra. Siyuan has played at the Millennium Stage Conservatory Project in the Kennedy Center and at the Fifth Annual Bearcat Piano Festival at Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music. Since 2013, Siyuan has joined the piano faculty in the Anchorage Chamber Music Intensive in Alaska.
Siyuan is now completing her Doctor of Musical Arts degree in piano performance at the University of Michigan School of Music, Theater and Dance with Arthur Greene.
